Lockdown Crafting

Hello!  Here in New Zealand we're in our second week of (post-lockdown) Level 2.  While we were in Level 3 I really was struggling for inspiration to craft, thankfully I had the Stampin' Up! Covid-19 giveback pdf  to kickstart things.  I printed some sentiments on Whisper White card and some on printer paper and both worked well to create with!

To buy the 'Share Sunshine' digital stamp set (downloadable pdf file) head to covid19.stampinup.com
100% of proceeds go to organisations  working in the fight against the Covid-19 virus.

I enjoyed making a paper mask - the Story Label punch made it so easy !

When isn't it time for a 'quarantini'?? I coloured the olives with my Old Olive watercolour pencil for a dab of colour.   And yes I did do some 'fussy cutting'!!

Flatten the curve!  We've done a great job of flattening it here in New Zealand (must have been drinking all those quarantinis!!!)

Wherever you are - stay safe and craft on!!

Three Cheers!

I put together the ‘Three Cheers’ kit as a gift.  I have trouble sticking to the plans/instructions though, so two-thirds of the kit are my modified (or extra-blinged) versions.  I love that the kits from Stampin' Up are versatile like that!!

Wild Rose for Denise

Last month was a month full of birthdays, not the least of which was my amazing friend Denise!  I saw a fancy card fold my friend Angela shared on Facebook and thought I would use it with some of my ‘just arrived’ craft goodies.  I was pleased with how easy it was to line up the three different stamps in the “To A Wild Rose” stamp set (this is what gives the petals their shading).

I only used two stamps for the leaves.  I love the label shape that comes with the 'Wild Rose' dies - it has stitching!!!

Inside the card I simply stamped two of the sentiments from the set - one in Melon Mambo ink an the other in Pool Party.  I think these two colours are a wonderful combination!  If you would like to try these colours, or the Wild Rose stamp set, the links to my store are below:

Covid-19 Giveback

COVID-19 Giveback

Stampin’ Up! is committed to making a difference in our global communities and caring about people first. As part of our Making a Difference program we are offering a product giveback opportunity to support organisations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic.
You can purchase the Share Sunshine PDF Download and we will donate 100% of the proceeds to COVID-19 efforts.

The Share Sunshine PDF Download is a digital stamp set that’s packed with both light-hearted and heartfelt sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we’re currently experiencing–including many ideas that came from demonstrators and customers! You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using our Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards!

Ornate Razzleberry

Rich Razzleberry is one of my all-time favourite colours from Stampin’ Up, so I just had to use it with my new goodies from the ‘Ornate Garden’ suite.  The Ornate Borders dies are very cool! The one I’ve used on these cards also has a matching edge die to cut the other side of the flowers. I decided I wanted the flowers on the edge of a bigger piece of card stock for these cards.

Because the flowers are the focal point, the stamping is minimal.  I’ve heat embossed the larger sentiment with Silver embossing powder (it’s still magical watching it melt!) and stamped the smaller sentiment with Rich Razzleberry ink.

If these cards have inspired you to craft, the list of products I used is below.  Clicking on these will take you directly to my online store 😊
